This seafood market stands out not only for its impressive variety of freshly sourced produce and groceries but also for its inviting dining options that cater to both quick bites and leisurely meals.

As I stepped into 99 Ranch Market, I was greeted by the vibrant atmosphere, characterized by friendly staff and a well-organized layout. The market may be more compact than some of its standalone counterparts, but it packs a punch with a wide range of Asian food products, from specialty meats to fresh seafood.

One of the highlights of the market is undoubtedly its prepared foods section, where you can find delicious offerings like the renowned Taiwanese run bing or burrito. As customer experience Yuki K. comments, this dish features a delectable combination of bean sprouts, cabbage, eggs, and flavorful garnishes wrapped in a sweet flour tortilla. It's an excellent choice for a quick meal at just $6.99.

  • Generous Portions: Many customers rave about the large portion sizes available. For instance, Rini R. loves the half-and-half noodles and rice, often opting for favorites like orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. This our go to for Chinese cuisine on regular days . Being Located inside the oakridge shopping mall makes it very convenient when you are very tired after shopping and very hungry but want to keep to food expense low and also want the food quick and not willing to wait . They have nice seating area with lots of chairs and tables . The portion size is toooo good . If you are light eater, you will probably not be able to finish one box with 2 items by yourself . Cause they give you so much inside the boxes that they themselves struggle to close the boxes . I always order half and half noodles and rice . Orange chicken, is my favorite but I like their pork and teriyaki chicken as well. They have Taiwanese burritos, pancakes, bao, rice cakes as well . Another nice option is getting 3 skewers ( they have pork and chicken ) and making it a meal by adding $3 more which will give you a small box of rice/ noodles and 1 entree item along with the skewers I am really fond of this place and would recommend to try this.

This 99 Ranch is a little smaller than the other standalone stores but still has a decent selection. This review is for the run bing (Taiwanese burrito) in the prepared foods section. I've been hearing about it for 2-3 years so maybe the ingredients have been reduced after all this time - there's another photo on Yelp showing what used to go in each burrito, but it no longer has stuff like pickled mustard or bean curd. There were bean sprouts, green cabbage, eggs, carrots, and garnishes like green onion, peanut powder, sesame sauce (tahini), seaweed powder, sesame seeds, and hoisin fish sauce. The sesame sauce overpowers everything so don't get it if you don't want a slightly soggy interior, but it was pretty tasty. The thin flour wrap seems sweeter than a normal thick flour tortilla. The burrito was between 6-8 inches if I recall...decent for something that cost $6.99 ($7.65 after tax). I sliced it on my own for the picture (so kind of messy) and even after a day in the fridge it was still excellent, both cold and reheated in the microwave.

This was a solid 99 Ranch Market in San Jose. It's situated nicely in the mall, but it feels like a pretty fancy market. The produce is really fresh and well organized. The lines at the checkout are pretty efficient and fast. I really love the take out side of the market. It's nice to be able to bring some already made food home with your groceries.

Well there's always a first time and this was my first time visiting a Ranch 99 market. I recently decided I wanted to learn how to make pho so after consulting with a friend of mine and watching some videos she sent to me, I set out on my quest. This location was easy to get to and parking was just as easy. Upon going inside, I noticed the aisles were organized well and I was able to navigate the various sections to where I wanted to go via the end overhead signs. People are friendly here, both shoppers and employees as well. I looked for the appropriate rice noodles that were like the ones I saw online and was unable so I asked an employee and was led to a section and shown rice noodles that fit the task at hand. I quickly showed her the video that discussed the ingredients and was assured that they carried everything that was needed. The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful and definitely will come back so that I can perfect my homemade pho.

Okay, time for an update. I shop at 99 Ranch more frequently than I thought I would. Parking is still great on the backside of Oakridge, although as I type that, I wonder how it will be during the holidays... I still wish their deli counter offered won ton, and the whole duck is now OVER $30, but for those Asian groceries and cuts of meat, it's a great neighborhood staple for me now.

Plenty of parking and easy to find. I love how they have the roast meat dept on the outside; makes it a lot more convenient for mall goers to purchase their food there instead of walking inside the grocery store. This one appeared smaller, but it carried plenty of items. Love it.
